Yesterday morning we got up pretty early for us on a Friday...7am!! I suppose it was all for a good cause though. We picked up my mom on the way and we drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to a lake all so Ryan and Nathan could go fishing. It was beautiful weather up there so I didn't mind just sitting and reading a book while my mom took Rylee for a walk and got her to sleep (bless her heart!) and enjoyed some reading as well. Ryan and Nathan got their second fishing trip in this summer but they didn't catch any fish. Ry said that they had some bites but no catches darn it! Nathan is quite the little fisherman. He kept leaning over the dock and would touch the water...about scared me to death a couple of times. Ryan basically works with Nathan's pole the whole time...it would drive me crazy if I were him but he has lots of patience! Everytime Ryan would cast Nathan's line out Nathan would take his pole and almost immediately start reeling it in. So Ryan got his pole in a few times but I think that they had a good time in the nice cool weather! Hopefully next time...third time is a charm and they will catch some fish!
The ducks wanted us to feed them...they got really close but figured we weren't going to give them anything so they left.

Here are the two fishing buddies again! Nathan was so into everything Ryan was doing like baiting his hook with different bait so he would get into his tackle box and find all sorts of things... Nathan keeps asking to go "pishing" again! He doesn't care if he catches any fish!

What a great father son activity! I know that Jake is really excited to take Sammy "pishing" sometime too. :)
