Splash Pad Cool Down

My friend Rachel and I decided to take the kids to one of the splash pads around to try and beat the heat one day.  They had a good time playing in the water for a little bit!  Sydnee wanted to go really bad since she walks and all now but I thought she might get run over by all the big kids!  

Family Reunion in Monroe

Ryan's family had a family reunion for the Parsons side while we were in Monroe for the 24th.  We got together and ate some yummy food at the park and wouldn't you know it...the sprinklers turned on right after we got there and stayed on throughout the most of it!  Sydnee and Ryan walked through them and she actually liked getting sprayed!  Here are some pictures of the reunion.  

Pioneer Day 2011

For the 24th of July holiday we usually go down to Monroe for their celebration.  My kids love to watch the parade and get LOTS of candy!  This year we went to the parade, played in the water with cousins (did I tell you my kids LIVE in the water during the summer??), played Just Dance Wii, watched fireworks (Sydnee's first fireworks she got to stay up late!), and a family reunion.  It was a super weekend filled with play time with cousins which my kids think is the best part!  Sydnee really started honing down her walking skills while we were there and she has taken off since!  Happy Pioneer Day!

T-ball and glasses

This summer Nate got to play t-ball with his friend Lee.  He had a great time and was even on the Braves team!  Here are some pictures of Nate playing t-ball well coach pitch too!  Go Braves!!

 Rylee got glasses in July and she LOVES them!  We found out that she has a lazy eye and so we are doing glasses and possibly a patch if the glasses don't help her one eye.
