Nice Weather...

The weather here has been extremely nice lately. Ya know...like the high 60's low 70's. I can't complain! I open my windows for some nice fall temperatures and put the dog outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. One great thing about it is that Nathan has been asking to go outside and play with Roxy (our dog) every afternoon! How could I resist letting him get outside for the last nice days (I say "last" because Saturday it is expected to cool down and rain this weekend as well). Nathan loves to play with Roxy and put her in all different spots where she decides she is too scared to jump down. For example, one day we had the high chair outside since we were going to clean it by spraying it off and Nathan had Roxy in it and he was putting all sorts of things in it with her. She just sits there and takes it all. Poor little dog! He chases her all around the yard and they have a ball out there together! He always wants to get her out of her bed and carry her around every where he goes! I think they will be best friends!

Gardner Village

This month for our preschool field trip it was my turn to plan something. I decided to go to Gardner Village and have the kids find the witches that they have ALL over there! I think everyone had a lot of fun and I was so glad that so many came it made it a fun morning! Here are some pictures that I took from Mikaila's blog (since I forgot my camera) Thanks Mik!

Here I am with my kids and an extra one! I was babysitting for a friend in my ward that day and so I took her little girl with us. She is only 9 months old and she was such an easy baby to watch! Even though Rylee isn't the nicest or softest or gentlest to babies but baby Aubrey survived!

Rylee eating a cookie or as she says "coocoo"

Here are some of the kids that came with us.

Here are the big girls that came.

Bows

I needed some plain basic color of hair bows for Rylee lately so I decided to just make them since a while back my SIL Mandy taught me how in a basic sort of way! Thanks Mandy! So I talked my friend Mikaila into making some for her little girl Berkley. We went to a GREAT store that sells ribbon by the yard and it is SUPER cheap! Best way to go I tell ya! So I made 7 bows that afternoon and they turned out pretty cute! I want to go get more ribbon to make more bows and double the ones I have already made so WHEN she can wear piggy tails she will have matching bows in each. I love doing Rylee's hair now! She is pretty good about leaving the bow and elastic in but if she does take it out when she is bored then I just put it right back in! Hehe She won't win this fight! Here are some pictures of her with my favorite of the bows I made...it's just a plain black one but she looks so cute with it in her pony on top of her head! I got carried away and just kept snapping pictures of her because she would lean forward and say cheese or "dooo" as she says it. She is such a sweetie!

Temple

Last night we had a ward temple night but this month was different since it is our ward conference they had the youth doing baptisms and then we all met up for a catered dinner in the temple and then a session. Ryan and I decided to do an earlier session since our kids were over at my mom's house and they needed to be to bed at a decent time. It was a really nice session and then the dinner was really good too. There were 83 people including youth there from our ward. That was so neat to be in the temple with all of them and especially the young women from our ward! The temple president came in with his wife and they both spoke to us after we had eaten.

After the temple we got in the car and I had a missed call from my mom just a few minutes before so I called her back and she told me that she just wanted to give me a warning so I wasn't so surprised. Nathan apparently was outside swinging in their backyard with Uncle Corey and he let go right in the middle of swinging and took a head plant right into the dirt! Ouch! She said his face was pretty scratched up and that he looked pretty bad. He has a big goose-egg right on the top of his head and in his hair he is scratched up too. She had a really hectic night with that and then Rylee pooping in the tub which she has NEVER done before in her life! I felt so bad that my mom had to deal with all of that but she is a saint! Thanks mom! We owe you! Here are the damages of Nathan's face.

It makes me hurt! Poor guy!

My sick baby

Earlier this week Mikaila and I planned to have a girls night out with some friends for tonight (Friday night). We just decided that we deperately needed a night out without the kids so we got our friend Janna to come with us and were sad that the other ladies couldn't come!! Mik and Janna called and said they were on their way to get me which is just around the corner and right after I hung up the phone I looked at Rylee who was screaming in her highchair and then proceded to throw up! Yuck! She threw up like 3-4 times while I stood there in disbelief trying to figure out what to do. Ryan was making Nathan dinner and the phone rang again (Janna calling to see if I was coming outside cause they were waiting) so I hurried and picked her up and took her clothes off of her and the highchair cover which were covered after all of that and carried them down to the washer and started it. I hurried upstairs and since things were a bit more under control I felt a little bit better about leaving so I gave Ryan a kiss and told him I was soooo sorry for leaving.
We had a really fun night out...nothing too exciting just Applebee's for dinner and then we went to Joann's craft store for some supplies for my stitching I am going to begin! Can I just say how much I love to backstitch!! It was so much fun going to dinner with these ladies and chatting away! Loved every minute of it! I felt bad that I left Ryan to deal with my sick baby but he is the most amazing hubby ever and it didn't even seem to phase him! She did get sick a few more times but then he gave her a bath and put her to bed. She has woken up about 3 times since and thrown up a little more. I hope she will be able to sleep well and get over this YUCKY stomach bug!
Sorry if this was too much information!!

Elk Hunting

Well I decided to take Nathan Elk Hunting this year. Well Cow Elk hunting. I drew a tag out in Southeastern Utah by the Colorado border, my dad drew out last year and I took Nathan also then but that was just for the day. This year we went with my dad, grandpa, uncle and his boy. We had planned to camp out there for 3 nights, but that all changed after the first day. We really lucked into them. We had pulled out onto a point where you could see the flat for miles, we started glassing the area with our binos and my Dad said there they are. They were about a mile away out in the middle of the desert. So we just sat back and waited to see what they would do, what is the chance that they would come right up the point that we were sitting on, well they did and I was at one time as close as 15-20 yards away, crazy I know, well here are a few pictures of the outing, Nathan had a great time and sorry dad that we ruined the camp-out, as Nathan would say "we only stay one night in the trailer".

Rylee was so happy to see Nathan that she kept giving him a hug and the end photo Nathan lost his footing and she fell on him.

Uncle Corey

My little brother, Corey, has been serving a mission in the Texas Fort Worth mission these last 17 months. Last Monday, he came home on a temporary medical release (about a month). This was pretty neat to get to see him! He hadn't seen Nathan since before he turned 2 years old which in turn means that he had NEVER met Rylee girl! So I was pretty excited to see him, introduce him to Rylee and see how Nathan reacted to seeing him again (he definitely remembered him since he always wants to send him any picture he colors). Rylee was a little shy in the beginning but she has definitely warmed up to him! Nathan was so excited to see "Uncle Corey" as he calls him. He thinks that Corey is his best bud! He likes to do all sorts of things with Corey...play Wii, do puzzles (the only one who will do the same puzzle over and over again!) and so many more things! Nathan is so excited everytime we go over to Nana and Papa's house but now he always is asking if Uncle Corey will be there! We are excited we get to spend some time with him before he goes back! We love you, Uncle Corey!

Just part of the Family

We have been having a good time around our house lately! We have been enjoying our puppy who is growing so fast it's crazy! Our kids LOVE Roxy and she loves them just as much! When we get in the car with Roxy she always sits right on Nathan's lap and never moves! She used to be MY dog but she really has taken a liking to Ryan, Nathan and Rylee...also she loves my mom...aka her Nana! :) Every time Rylee sees Roxy she gets so excited and SCREAMS "Dog Dog!!" Then she goes right up to Roxy's face and let's Roxy give her kisses. So cute! Roxy loves to pounce Bitsy who is getting old and play with my grandma's dog Daisy as well! She is really good about going potty only outside which makes having a puppy so much easier! Here are some pictures...
