Ward Campout

This past Friday night we went to our ward campout up at Pineview Resevoir. We had a good time with the people that came! I forgot to get my camera out until Saturday morning when we were packing up our stuff. So here are a few pictures of where we were and how nice it was there!

Introducing...Roxy!!!

After much deliberation we decided to buy the kids a dog! She is so sweet and cute! We went and picked her up tonight down in a small town about 20 miles outside of Richfield called Aurora...ironically this is the same town where Ryan's aunt Jodi lives. Her name is Roxy (named after her mom) and she is a miniature dachsund. She is too cute and the kids love her already! She is 10 weeks old and on the way home tonight I asked Ryan what her papers said her birthday was. Well, her birthday just so happens to be the same day as our Rylee girl's!!! Here are some pictures of our Roxy!

Well I tried to get some good pictures of her but she follows me and Ryan around very closely and therefore all you get are some seriously closeup shots of her! She absolutely loves Ryan! At the house we got her from I took her out of the basket and put her on the ground and she ran right to Ryan. She likes to crawl on our laps and right now as I type she is curled up on my lap! Sweet thing!

Wii

Okay so now for the last post! I have been playing catch up this morning so please go on and read the rest of the posts too! But this one is quite exciting! This past weekend we had the opportunity to play Wii Fit because my brother brought it from Vegas with him. It was so much fun too! I was kinda bummed because I would love to have one but ya gotta buy the Wii and the Wii Fit which are both extremely hard to find at any given time! In the ads on Sunday we saw that WalMart had Wii's in their ad which means they will have some but most likely they will be gone by Monday. So yesterday at lunch Ryan stopped by WalMart on his way home to pick up some milk for Rylee. I asked him just to go and check to see if they had any Wii's by chance. He called me up and told me that they had one! So then just by chance I asked if they had any Wii Fit's and he said looks like they have one. Are you kidding me?! So he came home with much more than just a gallon of milk for Rylee! We are now the proud owners of a Wii and a Wii Fit! Now that was some serious luck!! Here it is...

Family Reunion...oh I mean drama!

We had our family reunion for my dad's side of the family this past weekend. It was fun to see so many cousins and aunts that live out of state. We have a raffle and my dad did the number calling since his voice is louder than my uncle Karl's. There is always a quilt to raffle off as well and each family gets one ticket for the drawing. The quilt raffle this year has cost some serious drama to occur in the family! So stupid! I just don't understand how people can blame someone else for their problems...like losing their quilt ticket!? Okay, so here are the pictures from the family reunion...
Most of my cousins (and my brother) from this side of my family.

Here is the quilt that was won by my Great Aunt Esther (who is not in the picture).

Church History Museum

Last Friday we rode Trax downtown to go to the Church History Museum. I had never even heard of anything that was in there but it was really neat. They have a part called "I am a Child of God" for kids and my kids had a really good time! Afterwards we walked around temple square and then had lunch at a little cafe inside the Joseph Smith Memorial building called the Nauvoo Cafe. SO YUMMY! I can't wait to go back there! I think a couple of my favorite parts of the museum were the Angel Moroni (actual size) and then the replica of the Conference Center's podium where you could stand behind it and see what the people who speak see. Pretty neat! Here is a little bit of what we did at the museum and our trip downtown...

Zoo

Last week we decided to go to the zoo one day. It was fun to go see all the animals because I hadn't taken Nathan or Rylee this year at all! I'm a terrible mom, I know! We went with my brother Wade, his wife Alexis and their girls Caitlyn and Elsa.

Elsa and Wade

We learned something new this time we went! They have a carousel at the zoo now and so of course we had to ride it! I kept Rylee off because she was fussy but everyone else went.

The best part of the zoo! Choo-Choo Train! We had a good time on this for sure! Nathan kept asking all throughout the zoo when we were going to ride the train?! Don't worry we rode on it!

Leader's Night Out

Okay, sorry these pictures are dark! But last Tuesday night all the leaders in the Young Women got together for a leaders night out! We all gathered at the Beehive Counselors home since she is the only one without kids! We basically brought food to eat, talked and played games! It was so nice to get away from the house because I was going stir crazy with Rylee being sick! We didn't leave until after 10pm that night and I really enjoyed being with these awesome ladies!

Cousins

Two weekends ago mySIL Alexis and her kids came and stayed with us since my parents were going out of town for the weekend. We enjoyed having them come and play! Her kids are the same ages as my kids and so we had a full house with two-1 year olds and two-3 year olds! A bit crazy at times but it was fun to have them here!
