Forgetfulness

I am pretty proud of myself for blogging before another month has passed but I must say how disappointed I am in the pictures that I have NOT taken! I realized I didn't have any pictures of Nathan in this bunch and the things we have been up to. We went to the zoo with my mom (Nana) and of course I forgot the camera. Good thing we will be at the zoo lots more so I can get those pictures that I am missing. We went to the park last night and the kids had a blast...also forgot the camera! So my new goal is to NOT forget the camera everytime we go some place. Nathan and Rylee look forward to playing with their friends across the street and next door almost everyday! Rylee loves the girls and Nathan just likes to be outside running around playing games with all the kids! There are a couple of pictures of Rylee and the oldest girl across the street playing dress up. What a great sport she is!! My kids love all the friends they have made!
Here are some pictures of Sydnee...she started smiling a day after she turned 5 weeks. She isn't really easy to get to smile but she is the sweetest baby! We have to really work for the smiles we do get! We can't believe she is almost 7 weeks old...this is going too fast but I am still loving every minute I get to hold and cuddle with her.
Last Sunday, Ryan and I had to speak in church...that was fun. haha Then my cousin had his Eagle court of honor. This week we are busy getting ready for Sydnee's blessing this Sunday. My brother and his family are coming in to town so my kids are really excited to play with their cousins they don't get to see very much. They want to take them to the new park we found. It should be a fun Memorial Day weekend...lots planned with family so hopefully I won't forget my camera and I will be blogging again soon!

Already One Month!

I can't believe that Sydnee is already a month old! On Mother's Day she was one month old and I couldn't get over that she is growing up so fast. I know it goes way too fast but I am enjoying every moment of her being little. At her two week visit to the doctors she was already 8lbs. 1oz. and she was only 19 3/4 inches...meaning she shrunk since she was born?? Not really there was just a miss measurement somewhere but oh well. We haven't really got a smile out of her yet but she sure is a sweet baby. She loves her mommy :) and being held really close which I can't get enough of. She is starting to sleep longer at night 5 hour stretches to begin with so that is really nice along with a long 3-4 hr afternoon nap every day! Nathan and Rylee are great with her. When Sydnee is crying they are right there trying to help her with her binky or singing songs to her. Nathan is so funny everytime he sees her he talks in a funny voice and says "hi baby Sydnee! I am your big brother Nathan." Rylee loves to talk to her too and gets mad when Nathan calls her "Syd" because her name is "Sydnee Grace" she tells him. They love to hold her all the time and they have been really great playing with each other while mom is busy feeding or taking care of sweet Syd. Enjoy these latest pictures of our 3 kids! So weird to think we have 3 kids now...

Roxy loves the baby and loves to sit on my lap even if it means sharing it.

Wanting to all see the baby and talk to her!

Silly girl in the toy chest!

Taking a Sunday afternoon nap on Papa...he is great with babies! Sydnee definitely loves her Papa!

Both kids in the toy chest???

Our very own Buzz and Woody!!

Sleeping on the couch...

I think this is the closest we have gotten to a smile from her and I didn't realize it till I looked at the picture...must have been a really quick look!

Doesn't want to have a photo shoot with brother and sister.

She is always sticking her tongue out...

Taking a nap on her daddy Sunday before church. What a hard life they have! :)

Little baby Syd!

She is here! Our sweet Sydnee was born yesterday morning. She weighed in at 7lbs. 6oz. and 20inches long. She has quite a bit of brown hair which is definitely different if you have ever seen our other two bald babies! We love her so much and we are so glad she is here in our family! What a blessing Heavenly Father has blessed us with at this time in our lives. The kids were not sure about her...Nathan got mad at us for naming her Sydnee...he thinks her name should have been Jordyn! Rylee is just getting more excited everytime she sees her because she is a "girl" like Rylee! What could be better than that????Nothing...in my little Rylee Girl's eyes! Today she got up on the hospital bed with me and wanted to hold baby Syd so I got her and she like pulled her over onto her lap. I am definitely going to have to watch Rylee because she probably will think she is like her dolls she has... :) She has a middle name but I think putting just her first name on here is appropriate.
I wanted to share a little bit about my delivery and how everything went...My anethsiologist (sp?) offered me a mirror in the OR which I have always thought would be cool to watch my babies come out so of course I took it! It was totally amazing! He was telling me all about what they were doing and it kept the whole surgery off my mind while I laid there especially when Ryan took Sydnee to the nursery. I could see what they were doing but it was like it wasn't really me who they were operating on...kinda weird! My doctor did a great job and chatted with me about Survivor and the Apprentice while he stitched me up! Overall, I had another great delivery with Sydnee as I have with the other kids and we have loved the nurses who have taken great care of us while we are here at the hospital! They just got us into a new room that is bigger than the other one...the other one was TINY! Enjoy a few pictures I will share more when I have more time.

Easter 2010

We had a very fun Easter this year with me being 9 months pregnant and all. But the kids got lots of candy from the Easter bunny who also left TONS of hidden Easter eggs at Nana and Papa's house too! Lucky kids! Nathan asked me all day why we celebrate Easter but he already knew after I told him once so I kept asking him when he would ask me. Funny kid! Rylee was not happy with me when she asked if she could wear her Easter dress to Nana's since we didn't have church and we stayed home to watch General Conference...she just wanted to be a princess as always. After Nathan found the Easter eggs he emptied them all out into bags with candy and money and then he would hide the eggs for everyone else to find over and over again! Rylee and Nate both liked playing the Easter bunny for us. It was a fun Easter around here. Here's the proof!

A few nights ago the kids and Ryan were reading this book and singing songs it was a cute picture with both kids on his lap in Rylee's new room!

Happy Easter 2010!
Finding eggs at our house...

Yeah nice...we woke up to snow on the ground Easter morning...Roxy is a little trooper through all the snow!

More eggs!!

After Easter dinner at Nana and Papa's house, Ryan and Nathan were playing catch...trying to teach him to keep his eye on the ball. Every time we would tell him to "WATCH THE BALL" this is what he would do. Everyone was laughing so hard because he looks like a vulture. Love you Natey!

Possessed???

Our last family of 4 picture! Easter 2010
Nana and Papa on Easter...thanks so much for a fun day filled with CANDY galore and yummy dinner!!! Nathan's photography skills once again!
Here I am 9 months pregnant...pretty much the last picture of me from the side this pregnancy that is FOR SURE!

Carseat Cover

I needed to post something I made for baby girl! I have never really learned to sew but this pregnancy my mom taught me how to make a baby blanket and then she helped me put together a really cute carseat cover (I got the tutorial from my SIL Heather's blog). I made one for Mikaila for her little boy Max too. I have enjoyed learning how to sew especially on my mom's nice sewing machine!! Here are the results of the one I made for our little girl!

March passes by...

March was a great month for our family. We finally heard on the house that we had been waiting on since October! It was a whirlwind month when we finally kind of realized that we might be staying with my parents when the baby came and a week later we found out we would be closing on the house within the month! Nathan was so excited for St. Patrick's Day and was making sure every person was wearing green! He is at an age where every holiday is a lot fun because he understands them now! My mom took Nathan to a basketball game one night by himself because Rylee wasn't feeling well and then Rylee got a turn to go with Nana to a Utah gymnastics meet. Rylee was sick the whole end of February with an ear infection and then it ran into March since she needed a different antibiotic....and then she got a double ear infection towards the end of March so she went a month being constantly sick and not eating very well! Poor girl! We are definitely happy to be in our home now!

Rylee so excited to go with Nana (and Grandma Gloria) to a Utah gymnastics meet. Go Red Rocks! They got a fun surprise that night and got to sit front row right where the girls were warming up. Rylee still talks all about it!

Rylee and Nana ready to go!

Nathan being silly with a number from the car place.

Nathan decided to take pictures with our camera...yay here we go!
